Thank you for visiting! Mindfulness has been around for a very long time (thousands of years), but only recently rediscovered and packaged -so to speak- for western civilization to benefit. In the Western world it is a secular practice and is being researched by the scientific community by various disciplines with fascinating results. Interesting changes has been discovered in people who practices mindfulness on a regular basis. There is evidence that even the structure of the brain is affected in a beneficial way.
